Some of the many Thoroughbreds we have Transitioned.... A large percentage of American horses slaughtered each year are Thoroughbred's-- The slaughter houses in the US are closed but horses have ALWAYS gone to Mexico and Canada to be slaughtered. There are more American horses being slaughtered now than when the plants were open in the US. Aside from the horrors of the slaughter process, designed for cattle and not the long neck of horses, the transportation to the slaughterhouses is largely unregulated, with long hauls of mares, foals and stallions mixed together, without food or water. Please take a moment to forward to someone - individual, newspaper, radio, television... publicity bring awareness and education which saves lives. Emily has taken lessons and leased
but didn't own a horse of her own. Funny she and her family
came to visit and dad made sure that I knew they were looking
and I said that is exactly how it should be and please take your
time this is an important decision :>) They told me what they
were looking for and well I knew that Bean would be a suitable
choice told them about her and then introduced them to her... it
was a perfect match and everyone knew it immediately lol... the
father reiterated to me that he had only come to look but that
he also knew they found the perfect horse for Emily lol.... I
said well take the next 48 hours to think of why you shouldn't
take her home.... the rest is history. This is a mare that was
standing in the direct to slaughter pen. Alex was with me the
day we pulled her. Gorgeous!
She last raced Oct 6th of last year and that was at Bellmont. She had 5 starts... made $36,930.00. She is sound. Actually according to USDA's own statistics over 90% of the horses slaughtered are sound and healthy... why do they need to die? They don't! slaughter for human consumption abroad.

She is aprox 3/4 yr old 15.3 hands off track Tattoo F21330
she still has racing plates on. She is missing hair from the
information given the chemicals in the swim pool were too strong and this
was the result apparently they were getting out of racing and cleaned house
selling all. Note *** Our records indicate that the mare's name is "GOLD TREASURE" and was foaled on 4/2/02 in Kentucky. Her sire was "Gold Fever" and dam "Sly Isabella". Leroy rescued from direct to slaughter kill pen thanks to the FOB's, NEER and
AC4H yahoo groups. He is a dark bay almost black horse who came up to me from about 65
head of horses and on his halter are the words "I love my owner"....
ironic huh? He stands at about 16 hands this boy is affectionate and friendly. He is

Lost on Appeal standing in kill buyers truck we need to raise $450.00 for him...
KB is holding for us until next Monday - private home also not a problem he

hh. Gorgeous flowing mover
started over fences and seems to really enjoy it. Doesn't mind Western
tack and is very level headed and sensible.

TB gelding Precise Gold, 4 yr old super sweet personality low bow should heal and be a
wonderful prospect.
Lindsey cantered him for the first time on Sunday. They reported
that he "takes care" of Lindsey and well the picture is worth 1,000 words...

Mad Bossy-Grey Thoroughbred mare 15 yr old measured 16.1 hands high. Mad Bossy
has old blood lines mostly imported
she was used as a broodmare. First eval she was very willing but would
take an intermediate rider. She is willing to go out on trails alone.

This mare had a name tag that reads "Make The Cut" our TB division
checked and tattoo matches what we can read along with description.
This mare has had 8 foals did accept a rider but is sore/off in front looks
like for a variety of reasons... no shoes, sore in shoulder... nice quiet
girl please take a look at the video and if you have room please consider
taking this lovely lady home...
The tattoo that matches the name 'Make the Cut' is: R04804. The markings for Make the Cut are: Large star pointed to the right, connected narrow stripe ending on bridge of nose. Derby - 11 yr old TB gelding measures 16.2 hh Good all around guy. Wonderful
ground manners. Derby is a very sweet guy who takes care of his rider. He is
a gorgeous mover. Derby went cross county loose reined and even went
through water he is a really good boy.

Macy - Thoroughbred mare no tattoo approx 2 yr old and measured 15 hh.
The owner said she had papers - they are not guaranteed also this was the
first time anyone was ever on her back - that is what you see in the
pictures. Nice mover seems very level headed she likes people and
enjoys attention very sharp girl who was never raced. She is sweet and
