Roughian - I need help! I was
purchased right before loading onto a truck headed to Canada to slaughter
for human consumption abroad.
I served my whole life helping people.
I have worked in the fields, given rides on my back I work long
hard days and give my all. As I got older and my teeth started to wear
in the front and I wasn't able to compete for food the younger horses pushed
me away. I couldn't eat fast enough I had to chew longer - but I still
worked and I gave my all.
I started loosing weight as you can see
I guess my owner decided I wasn't worth keeping around that is what I heard
him tell the guy who came to get me with the big trailer. I heard him
say "sell him" whatever he brings. He shipped me off for the last few
dollars he could get.
I don't understand why my best wasn't
good enough, it was everything I had.
3-6-06- received a nice meal
and lots of love!! Please keep him in your prayers! No horse deserves
to die the way he was going to they have a right to die with dignity and
humanely.
3-8-06 - cbc was pulled today- vet was unable to age him as we
cannot even see a slant to the teeth he could be 15 he could be 35!
Other than being under weight he has clean legs and his feet are in
good shape.
3-16-06 - cbc came back with just very start of infection otherwise
all is well with the big guy! You can see him changing already!
3-27-06 - in foster care with Sarah (person/volunteer) and Rusty
(Belgian who was a slaughter rescue that AC4H pulled to safety).
