Auction Pictures

Please visit What do we rescue them from?   for more information.

I am hoping that we can all circulate the pictures and educate people.  There is no way we are ever going to save them all, not enough space or funds and it is horrible leaving them there knowing they are going to die.  When I took the picture of the mare with the sad eyes I knew that her image would haunt me forever.  I had the hardest time walking away but if everyone shares her picture with someone educating them about what happens then she won't die in vain.  You want to save them not leave them there and with education we can do that.  I stayed to get those pictures for everyone out there to circulate and to help educate about auctions, slaughter and the truth.  Let's face it most people still think that the horses go for dog food and don't realize that this happens that the slaughter houses are foreign owned, people need educated on this subject to make a difference a real difference.

The problem is that people don't want to see it - don't want to hear about it.  It is emotionally disturbing and you feel helpless - not a good feeling so people simply avoid it.  Everyone here can become involved in rescue in several ways that only cost a moment of your time; forward the link to this page and of the pictures, ask people to join the yahoo group, contact your local radio station or newspaper and ask them to do an article or announcement about the subject and the need, support anti-slaughter legislation, if you know of a business tell them about the tax-deductible corporate sponsorship program that we have in place, if your shopping please consider shopping online through our link http://www.ac4h.com/The%20Mall.html and a percentage will be donated to help the horses we also have Country Supply and Jeffers on that page for your equine and animal needs Patricia also created a wonderful calendar that features rescue horses and sales go to rescuing a horse and last but not least, tell others about the horses who need homes that are here at Another Chance when they find a home that opens up room for another in need.

If anyone is interested in attending your local auctions I can personally attest that saving one from slaughter is an incredibly rewarding experience.  If anyone would like to come with me to New Holland I will be happy to escort you there and show you around - it isn't necessary to see the kill pens or the dead piles we can just rejoice at the ones that are saved!

Thank you everyone for helping the horses!

Mustangs pictured in the kill pen, they are not as protected as one would think.  We found out that these 2 were titled and it was legal for them to go to slaughter and they did!

Shoes being removed before going to kill this horse had a green federal tag applied was sound, gentle and had worked his whole life for people.  It is a sad day.

Shoes now removed you can see the green federal tag applied toward the withers sharing a meal with others doomed.

I wanted you to see what I see this is why I take these pictures not to make you sad but so that we can tell others and educate the public about what happens.  This is what keeps me going and keeps me fighting for them.  Just take one look at her face and in her eyes....  then you will feel what I feel and know why we fight so hard for them.  Remember without U there is no RescUe - they need U.
