Coy came into the rescue with roll over funds.  She was through several broker hands and we didn't want her going to slaughter.  We brought her in eval'd her and she did great.  Was a lady all the way around - good ground manners, etc.  About 2/3 weeks in she gave an unexpected buck and she had been gaining weight and looked round we stopped working her tested her for back pain couldn't find anything and rode her again she did fine.  This repeated the bucking randomly so we had the vet check her ovaries and also check her for pregnancy - she was open and no problems.  During this timeframe she sat for a bit about 3 weeks when we tacked her we no sooner got the cinch on and she started broncing.  All out bucking crow hopping that would make the best bucking horse proud.  She did break the saddle and then stopped.  We started working the cinch on her again and sometimes she would react and sometimes she wouldn't.  We have ridden her several times bareback and she does fine... no bucking at all so far.  With all this in mind we figured it would be better to place her as a companion as there are not a lot of people who can ride bareback.  She has great ground manners and is sound and healthy quiet and gentle - MOST times unless there is a saddle involved.
