Christmas aka Chris - 9/10 yr old Belgian Gelding aprox 18 hands he is a
gentle giant. He was purchased through auction the note with him stated
that he was an Amish logging horse - his owner was killed logging when a
large branch fell on him - they liquidated the business including the
horses and this poor boy still has his logging shoes on! There is a
chain around his neck that Andy and I tried to remove but couldn't get
loose - no clue why it is there. I would love to pull those shoes off
and get that chain off his neck -
Donations have started to come in to assist this gentleman- and we have had a few inquiries about purchasing him and taking him home. If this happens funds will be used to pull his shoes and if anything is remaining it will be utilized in the draft fund to pull a draft from slaughter.
