Information and Disclaimer: Another Chance 4 Horses is acting as intermediary providing the horses with a larger viewing audience and additional time versus the short time they get through the auction ring, if they get that opportunity at all. Brokers buy and sell horses to earn a living. Kill buyers make a living by sending a horse to a slaughter plant where it is slaughter for human consumption. We have taken a pro-active, preventative approach by listing these horses in hopes of assisting them out of the auction/slaughter arena and into a private home. Dangers of auctions are injury, death, illness and the possibility of being purchased for slaughter. We will include all levels of horses available at the broker lots or slaughter pens. We reserve the right to deny anyone.
Quarantine: These horses are not quarantined. It is highly recommended that your horse is quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks, recommended 30 days. Please consult your veterinarian for advice and plan for adding a new horse to your herd.

Coggins and Certificate of Veterinary Inspection-Health Certificate Transport of horses out of the state require a Coggins (EIA test) available within hours of vetting and a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection also known as a health certificate to transport your horse into or across the state. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection is a document that is certified by a veterinarian indicating the horse has been examined for signs of infectious and contagious disease. This is not a lameness, soundness, or vet check examination or guarantee that the horse will not get sick. The purpose of the examination is strictly for preventing horses with communicable diseases from being transported and spreading disease. If your horse is examined and a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and any signs of contagious disease are found, the Certificate will not be issued. Some things the vet looks for are; Fever, nasal discharge, strangles, lice, ringworm, equine herpes, or signs of neurological issues. If the Certificate is not able to be issued, you must make arrangements for the horse to go to quarantine and you are responsible for all veterinary, quarantine, and medical expenses incurred. From our experience, the most common reason for a horse not being issued a Certificate of Veterinary inspection is due to nasal discharge. Nasal discharge is quite common in stress situations where horses are moved from auction to auction, to the lots, and also in general transport. A horse can be dry and clear when evaluated and then after being transported to the pickup lot, they have nasal discharge due to the shipping.
I understand that I may not be able to get a Health Certificate or Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and my responsibilities concerning such. XX Initial Here ________________________
