I have 2 horses in need of their forever home. We are located in Winfield, PA (which is about an hour north of Harrisburg). Maxx is around 25 yrs old. He is a gelding quarterhorse mix that I 'rescued' from the Middleburg Auction when he was around 14 yrs old. He was my first experience finding out what the auction buyers were all about. He has been and still is a sweetheart! He is a very easy keeper with no real health issues. Just eats pasture, hay, & senior feed twice a day. He should just be a pasture buddy because of his loss of muscle tone and fat. Timer is a registered gelding Quarterhorse also around 25 yrs old that I never got papers for because I was told they were lost in a fire. I got him from a farm that had many Draft and Mini horses. When I found him he was knee deep in mud/manure so he is kind of a 'resuce' too. He was around 13 yrs old when I got him. He is also a very easy keeper with the same feeding and health as Maxx. He could still probably be lightly ridden though. He is also a sweetie! I have the vet come once a year in the fall to do all their shots and a general check up and she was just here last month so they are current on vaccinations. I have not had the farrier come in a long time because they keep their hooves worn down somewhat acceptable. It saddens me greatly to have to resort to finding them a new home and I type this with tears in my eyes. I am in a position that I have no other choice because of a lawsuit that I have been in for the past 3 years with the builders of my home. It doesnt go to trial for another year so the mortgage company has begun the foreclosure process. It is a long complicated mess. . . There is mold in the home and we need to move because of the potential health concerns for me and my children. It is not something that I want to do but rather something that I HAVE to do so if you can offer any assistance at all with the horses, it would be greatly appreciated.

Dandy Amount ("Desi") is a pretty 16hh Standardbred mare,
foaled 1994, with papers. In her racing career she won $38K. Her
racing ended short with an ankle injury; she is pasture sound now.
She is a very easy keeper, quiet, and a pleasure to work around. She
is currently turned out in a mixed bunch of mares, geldings, and
minis, and was very easy to integrate into the herd...the perfect
babysitter! UTD with all shots, worming, farrier, etc. Located in
NJ.

| no picture available | "Free","Aged pony mare for free lease to a good home. Was used for pony rides for the past 5 years. Kid safe. No kick/bite. Has to be on Thyro-L ($27 per container and lasts 2 months). She also has arthritis in her back, she can be lightly ridden through summer months, but does get ouchy when it's cold. Foundered in the past too, cannot be on lush grass. Would make an excellent companion. Vet & personal refs. will be checked and there will be a farm check with a yearly or more frequent visit approval. Serious inquiries only!!!! Ane will NOT allow her to go an hour out of the Philadelphia suburb area. ", | "Nicole tuckersmom@comcast.net" |

Jessi is an approximately 20 year old bay brood mare. She doesn't have papers but I think she is a Morgan Arab cross. She's 15'2 and is up to date on all her vaccinations. She is an easy keeper and healthy. She has good ground manners and can be ridden but only by an experienced rider; however, I would prefer if she went somewhere to be retired. She prefers to be outside and is used to being out 24hrs a day with a shelter. She loves attention! I'm away at college and can't afford to keep her but will only let her go to a good home! |

B-day is 7-3-93
She is sound but was never broke to ride, her original owner used
her for brood mare i believe as she always had a tumor on her side
where the cinch goes we had that totally removed but it left a scar
on her side which i believe might re-open if saddled for any length
of time. So she is just basically a pretty pet. I wish she was broke
she has a nice back for bareback riding.
If you look close at her picture you can see dark scar about the
size of a 50 cent piece where the cinch goes.
She is free to approved pasture pet home.
